From Vision to Reality

What inspired the creation of HelloCaddy ME, and how did your team at iROVA go from a robotics concept

to building the world’s first AI-powered caddy that truly acts like a human companion on the golf course?

 

We started HelloCaddy ME with a simple question — why can’t a golf caddy think and react like a human?

Our team at iROVA had years of robotics experience, so we focused on building a machine that doesn’t just follow

but understands the player. From industrial robots, we evolved to a consumer AI caddy that listens, analyzes,

and supports the golfer in real time.

 

Smarter Than a Trolley

Most “smart” golf carts still need remotes or manual control. How does HelloCaddy ME’s 

intelligent following system and AI-driven LiDAR technology make it fundamentally

different from traditional motorized caddies?

 

Traditional carts depend on remotes or manual steering. HelloCaddy ME uses LiDAR and AI vision to recognize the golfer’s

movement, path, and environment — no remote needed. It detects slopes, obstacles,

and terrain in real time, keeping a safe, natural distance as if it “understands” the player’s pace.

 

Coaching on the Course

HelloCaddy ME doesn’t just carry your bag — it gives strategic advice. How did you integrate

AI-based shot analysis and real-time coaching into the design, and what kind of data powers these recommendations?

Our AI system processes swing, distance, and course data through sensors and the HelloCaddy App.

It provides real-time strategy advice like club selection or shot direction. 

The recommendations are based on both stored player patterns and real course data

— it’s like having a digital coach by your side.

 

HelloCaddy ME on Kickstarter: Built for Real-World Conditions

Golfers play in heat, rain, and on hilly terrain. What challenges did you face in ensuring HelloCaddy ME

remains stable, waterproof, and capable of handling 30° slopes without tipping or losing traction?

 

We tested HelloCaddy ME in extreme field conditions — heavy rain, sand traps, and steep 30° slopes. 

Using a four-wheel drive system, dual 250W motors, and an IPX5 waterproof body, 

we achieved both traction and balance. 

The biggest challenge was keeping it stable without sacrificing speed, and our adaptive control solved that.

With HelloCaddy ME now entering the consumer market after proven B2B success, 

how do you see AI robotics transforming the golfing experience in the next few years — and what’s next for iROVA?

 

We believe AI caddies will redefine how people experience golf — making solo play smarter and more enjoyable. 

After B2B success, HelloCaddy ME brings that intelligence to everyday golfers. 

For iROVA, this is just the beginning; we plan to expand AI integration from conversation to performance analytics and beyond.
